Hello, Nikki here (and I speak on behalf of all my dolls as well;)). I'm very sorry I haven't posted since last month. I've just been very busy , and I've had a lot to think about (we've moved house, and I thought had to change drama groups, although now there's a chance I might not). There's still a lot a have to help with around the house and do, and some important things that are on my mind, so I probably won't post for a while still, but I will be back once everything irons out for me again.:) I posted this because I thought I should let you know I haven't stopped blogging, and I just took a sort of accidental break, which is probably going to finish up soon.;) Sorry again for leaving this blog so long, and see you later!:) (I would add a nice picture or something just to make the post nicer, but I'm on my brother's computer, so I can't get my photos.:P;))

Kirsten's Birthday
It was my birthday on Sunday, and we had a prairie picnic!:) Not many people could come, but Julie and Nicki did, and it was very fun, anyway! Julie made a cake, and we all dressed up in pioneer clothes, and sat outside in the field.
"Happy birthday, Kirsten!" said Nicki.
"Yes," said Julie. "Happy birthday!"
"Thank you! And thank you for the cake, too, Julie!"
"You're welcome. I'm glad you invited us to come over."
"Yes!" said Nicki.
"Well I am glad to have you here," I smiled.
"Shall we play a game before we have the cake?" asked Nicki.
"Good idea!" I answered. "What shall we play?"
"How about Tag?" asked Julie.
"Tag's fun!" said Nicki.
"Yes, I like it. Let's play."
We all got up, and Nicki said, "Alright. Who's 'It'?"
"Kirsten, because it's her birthday."
"Oh, of course! You can be 'It', Kirsten."
"Thank you."
"Are we ready?" asked Nicki.
"Yes!" Julie and I said together.
"Okay... Let's go!" Nicki shouted, and she whirled around and started running.
Julie ran squealing in the other direction, and I ran after Nicki, who was laughing and shouting, "Come on, Sprocket! She's right behind us!"
"Tag!" I shouted, touching her arm.
She squeaked, and then turned around to run after Julie and me. I squealed and then shouted, "Run, Julie!" We ran away, laughing and squeaking, but Nicki tagged Julie in the end.
We played for ages, and then we finally stopped and sat down again.
"That was so funny!" said Nicki, laughing.
"Yes!" Julie panted. "You're fast!"
Sprocket was looking at us with his tongue hanging out, and he looked so happy, it was just like he was smiling!
"Shall we cut the cake now?" asked Nicki.
"Alright!" I said.
"But we have to sing happy birthday first!" said Julie.
We all laughed, and she and Nicki sang the birthday song to me.
When they were done, she cut three slices for us, and we laughed and talked while we ate them.
"It is a very great cake, Julie!" I said.
"Yes. You did really well."
"Thanks, guys!"
"It's a pleasure," I said, and Nicki smiled.
"Do you want to see your present now, Kirsten?" asked Julie.
"Okay! What is it?"
"It's a secret," said Nicki. "Just wait and see!"
"I'll go get it," said Julie, getting up, and she started walking back to the house.
"Just wait. You'll find out in a minute. Everyone helped."
That made it sound like something really special, but I couldn't think what it could be. Just when I was starting to slip into thought about it, Nicki spoke again.
"I made this for you," she said, holding up a beautiful daisy chain. "You can wear it if you'd like."
"Oh, thank you!" I said. "It is so lovely!" She leaned over and put it on my head.
"You look beautiful!" she said. "It looks just like a crown!"
"Thank you!"
"You're welcome. You really do look lovely!"
Just as she finished speaking, we heard footsteps, and she turned towards the house.
"Oh, Julie's coming back!" she said excitedly. "Close your eyes!"
I closed them, desperately wondering what Julie was bringing back, and I heard her walking up to me, and Sprocket gave a little bark. Then, suddenly, I felt something warm and soft in my arms, and it was moving!
When I opened my eyes, there was a beautiful little puppy in my arms!
"Oh, Julie! Nicki!" I breathed. "She's beautiful!"
Julie and Nicki were both looking at me, smiling more widely than I've ever seen them smile.
"Thank you!" I said.
"Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome," said Nicki.
"We all love you," said Julie. "Very much!"
"Thank you," I whispered, almost crying.
"What are you going to call her?" asked Nicki.
"Oh, she's so beautiful!" I said. "I... I think, I'm going to call her Beauty."

Our Dancing Video
Hello! It's Sarah here. Anna and I made a video last week, dancing to an instrumental song by ABBA, called Nationalsång (or Opus 10)! It's only pictures made into a sort of slideshow, and the second half is a bit slow (and a little sloppy, because, Nikki admits, she got lazy with the choreography), but we had great fun making it. It was Nikki's idea, because when she listened to the song, it made her think of two best friends losing each other and then meeting again, so she made up the dance, and we did it!:)
We hope you like it!

Meeting Catherine
Hello! It is Anna. Today, something very special happened. We met a new friend, who is called Catherine. I was the first to meet her today, and she is very nice. When I first saw her, I realized that she was blind. She was feeling along the wall as she walked, and her eyes were a very unusual color. When I ran up to her, I think I gave her a fright, because she turned very quickly, but she did not say anything.
"Are you Catherine?" I asked, putting my hand on her arm.
She seemed very shy, and she stayed quiet for a little, and then said, "Yes. Who are you?" "My name is Anna."
"It's nice to meet you."
"And you too. Are you okay?"
"I'm blind, so I have to hold the wall to know where I am."
"Would you like me to help you?"
She stopped to think for a while, and then she said, "Yes, thank you."
I took her hand, and started walking slowly.
"I'll take you into the lounge," I said.
"Thank you."
I did not say anything for a minute while we walked, because I wasn't sure if I should ask the question that I wanted to ask, but finally I did: "Were you born blind, Catherine?"
"No; I could see perfectly until three months ago. Then I got this rare eye disease, and my sight slowly got worse and worse, until finally I was blind. That only happened seven weeks ago, and afterwards, my eyes changed color." She stopped, and then ended shakily, "People say it looks horrible."
I felt very, very sorry for her, because although her eyes were very unusual, it was not ugly or horrible.
"I do not think it is horrible at all. They are a very pretty color, and it is just not what people are expecting," I said.
She said "Thank you," looking very grateful.
"I do mean it." I stopped at the corner of the lounge door, and said, "You must turn to the left here," and we walked in.
"How old are you?" she asked.
"I am 17. How old are you?"
"I'm 17 too. When's your birthday?"
"The eleventh of April."
"Really? Mine is the seventeenth!"
"That is great!... Stop here. There is a rocking chair to your right."
She reached out into the air and felt around until her hand was on the arm of the chair. I was about to help her to it, when we heard a shout.
"Hello Anna!"
We turned around, and I saw Sarah standing there.
"Oh, Sarah!" I said. "This is Catherine."
Sarah smiled.
"Hello Catherine," she said. "I'm Sarah."
"Hello."
"She is blind from a disease," I said.
"It made my eyes change color. I'm sorry if they look bad."
"No, I think they look lovely!" said Sarah.
"Thank you."
"Let me help you to that chair," I said.
"Are you comfortable there?" I asked.
"Yes, thank you."
"How old are you?" asked Sarah.
"17."
"That's the same as Anna! I'm 16."
"That's nice... What do you look like?"
"Oh, I'm sorry!" said Sarah. "I didn't think of telling you."
"That's okay."
"Well, I have curly brown hair a little past my shoulders, freckles, and blueish eyes that some people would call gray or purple, and my hair is partly pinned up on the sides right now. Anna has long blonde hair, which is in braids right now, and brown eyes, and she's from Sweden."
"So that's where her accent's from!"
"Yes," I laughed.
"You two sound very pretty."
"Thank you," we both said together.
We had a very lovely time with Catherine, and we cannot wait to have more fun with her. She is a very special person, and we love her very much.
"Are you Catherine?" I asked, putting my hand on her arm.

The Liebster Award:)
Nikki here.;)
Christain Homeschooler and Doll-ightful Days nominated me for the Liebster Award, so I'm doing another award post!:)
Here are the questions I was given:
1. What is a favorite post of yours?
Probably when Anna and Sarah went outside together.:)
2. Do you have a favorite doll/stuffed animal?
Well, my favorite doll is Kirsten, and she's very special! For a stuffed animal, I would probably say a little blue Elephant called Ellie. She was my first stuffed animal.:)
3. The blog you have been following the longest?
Well, the first blog I properly "followed" was An American Girl Doll Story, but I've been reading American Girl Fan the longest.:)
4. Doll item on your wishlist? (Or clothes item, etc, if no dolls)
Right now I can't choose between a 1970 Crissy doll, American Girl Cecile, and the My Twinn Loveable Sister, Catherine.
5. If you had to shop at one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?
I don't really know. If the local charity shop down the street counts, then there, because I love all the little things they get in, but otherwise, I'd probably say Asda (which is a UK supermarket owned by Walmart;)).
6. Cookie or cupcake?
Usually the cupcake.:) I like cake.:)
7. Favorite dog breed?
I'm not sure, but I like collies, retrievers, chihuahuas, and some terriers.:)
8. Favorite smiley face? (For example, :D)
Probably the tongue smiley, lol.:P (I also saw an upside-down smiley once, and I think that's cool!:))
9. Favorite holiday?
If you mean one that I've already had, probably when we went down to Plymouth in Devon for the weekend, three years ago.:)
10. Least favorite day of the week?
Probably Wednesday, because it's two days after and one day before rehearsals with my drama group, which are my favorite thing, and it's not a weekend like the gap from Thursday to Monday.:P
11. Greatest reward you got from blogging?
I think just the fun of being able to share things with people that I would've had alone otherwise.:)
Now, I'm meant to nominate 11 more blogs, but I can't, because most of the blogs I read have already had the award, so I'm just going to nominate the ones that haven't.:)
Little House of American Girl
An American Girl Doll Story
American girl Dolly Sisters
Here are my questions:
1. Who was the first American Girl doll you ever wanted?
2. If you have a doll with curly hair, how do you take care of it?
3. Do you like or have any of the pre-Mattel American Girl dolls (before 1998;))?
4. Has anything horrible ever happened to your dolls (such as, for me, Kirsten falling head-first into a bucket of old fishtank water, or Nellie getting a slug in her hair:P)?
5. Do you like to keep your historical dolls in historical clothes, or do they wear newer clothes?
6. Have you ever thought you'd grown out of your dolls but changed your mind?
7. Do you have a doll that looks like you? If you don't, does American Girl sell one that does?
8. Do any or your dolls have very loose legs?
9. (Weird question) Can you wait till summer?:P
10. Do your dolls have any pets?
11. Does your mom have any dolls?
I'm sorry for the boring questions, but I think I used up all my best ones on the other award.:P
Thanks for nominating me!:)

MagNioBio Award :)
Hello! It is Kirsten! Christian Homeschooler has nominated us for the MagNioBio award!:) (Thank you Christian Homeschooler!:))
What we do, is we answer the ten questions Christian Homeschooler gave us, and then we nominate some more blogs for the award, and give them our own ten questions!:) Because there are many of us, instead of answering the questions ourselves, we are going to let Nikki do it.:)
These are the questions:
1. Besides American Girl dolls, what doll brands are your favorites?
Well, I quite like My Twinn, but only the older dolls, really (they're a lot more realistic), and I can't really think of any other whole brand (rather than just a single line of dolls) that I really like.:)
2. What do you think of A Life of Faith dolls?
I think they're very cute! I really want Millie.:)
3. Which of the original Historical Characters(Molly, Kirsten, and Samantha) do you like best?
Kirsten, definitely.:) I think she's so pretty, and her character is so sweet. Her books are my favorites.:)
4. What do you think is the best blogging tip?
I'm not sure really. Maybe to not blog if you're not in the mood, even if you haven't posted in a while, because if you're bored when you write, people reading will feel bored too, like an audience feels what you do in acting.:)
5. What do you like to read about the most on other girl’s doll blogs(for example, photo-stories, crafts, photo-shoots, reviews)?
Well, probably photostories. They're very cute, and I just love the pretty pictures, and the sweet stories.:) I quite enjoy hairstyle posts, too, because I love dolls' hair, but the funny thing is, I never do that hairstyles!:P
6. What is your favorite Girl of the Year doll?
Nicki.:) I've always thought she looks really cute and pretty, and I love her outfits. And although the only GOTY book I've read is her first one, I think her character was one of the most unique, and special.:)
7. Which Historical Character friend is your favorite?
I'm not sure, really.:) I would've said Nellie a couple years ago, but I also love Elizabeth, because she looks like Lindsay Wagner. If Cecile counts, then I'd probably say she's my favorite for now. Otherwise, I'll choose Elizabeth.:)
8. Do you ever look on eBay for good deals on American Girl items?
I do a lot, because I can't really afford them new with the shipping and import tax.:) I tend to look on the UK Ebay page every day, even if I don't have any money, just to see what the prices are like here (there isn't much to look through, so it only take a minute or two), but when I'm looking for something specific that I want, I'll go to ebay.com.:)
9. What do you think about highlights for dolls’ hair?
Well, it doesn't really bother me to see them in other dolls' hair, but I would never put them in my dolls' hair.:P I just really don't like the idea of highlights.;)
10. Of the dolls you have, which is your favorite(if you have one)?
I feel a bit mean, actually saying this on they're blog, but, truly, my favorite is Kirsten. She's so, so special to me, and I love her more than anything else I own. (It's not that the other things aren't special or anything; just that Kirsten is extra special to me.;)) She was my first American Girl doll, and I remember waiting a year before I could get her, and hardly letting her go for the whole of my 10th birthday. I've only had her 4 and a half years, but it feels like 10, and I just love her so much.:)
The blogs that I nominate are:
Little House of American Girl
Delightful World of Dolls
An American Girl Doll Story
Dolly-Dorm Diaries
Doll-ightful Days
American Girl Dolly Sisters
My questions are:
1. Do your dolls have middle names or nicknames? If they do, what are they?
2. What's your favorite thing to do with your dolls?
3. How long have you had American Girl dolls?
4. How do you play with you dolls? (Even if you don't act out scenes or play as their mother, I think you still play with them if you blog about them, because you're imagining all these things happening.:))
5. What are your favorite Historical American Girl books, and why?
6. Do you have a proper bed for for your dolls? (So, something that was made to be a doll bed, rather than a shelf or something.;))
7. Do your dolls all share clothes, or do they have they all have their own clothes?
8. Do you like making up hairstyles for you dolls?
9. What non-American Girl dolls do you like?
10. I know this has nothing to do with dolls, but I just can't help asking it: Do you like acting?:P
I hope you enjoy answering the questions!:) Just for fun, I'm going to give you my answers to my own questions (because I feel like answering them:P):
1. My dolls do have middle names and nicknames, but they're all on the "Get to Know Us!" page, so I'm not going to list them all.;)
2. My favorite things to do with my dolls are imagine things about them, and do their hair.:)
3. I've had American Girl dolls since I turned 10, which is about 4 and a half years ago. (Okay, no I feel old, lol.:P)
4. I play with my dolls by imagining all kinds of things about them (which makes them very real when I want:)), making up stories with them, but hardly ever writing them down.:P
5. My favorite Historical American Girl series is Kirsten's. I think they're just lovely, and she's so sweet! I love her kindness and innocence, and I enjoy God and praying being mentioned a lot in the first book.:)
6. I don't actually have a proper bed for my dolls, but they have beds on shelves, with nice, fluffy, pillows for mattresses.:)
7. My dolls kind of share clothes, and they used to all the time, but now most of them have their own clothes, although they do share them sometimes.:)
8. I do like making up hairstyles for my dolls, but I don't really get any farther than playing with braids.:)
9. Aside from American Girl, I like older My Twinn dolls (like Anna and Sarah), 18" Berenguer Classmates (like Cindy), A Life of Faith Dolls, 1970's Crissy Family dolls by Ideal, and one or two of the Heidi Ott Faithful Friends (mostly just Beth).:)
10. This is the reason I had to ask that question, but I really, really, really love acting!:) I've just done my first show with my drama group, and it was so much fun I just want to do it again! It was the best, most fun, loveliest thing I've ever done (and I'm not exaggerating at all;)), and I can't wait to do the next show!:)

It's Easter!
Hello everybody! It's Cindy!:) I'm so excited! It's Easter!!
This morning, I work up early, and I was about to go back to sleep, when I realized it was Easter!:) I jumped out of bed and ran to the window to see if the weather was good for an Easter egg hunt.
But it had rained, and everything was wet, and there were huge, gray clouds over the sky. Oh, no! I thought. Now we're not going to be able to have an egg hunt! I couldn't think of anything I could do to that, so I ran to wake Kirsten up and tell her.
"Kirsten! Kirsten!" I whispered, shaking her. "Wake up!"
"Hmm?" she said. "Oh... Cindy. What is it?"
"It's Easter!... But It's all wet outside, and we won't be able to have an Easter egg hunt."
"Oh, no. Let me see."
Kirsten got up and I took her to the window.
"Wow!" she said. "It really is wet!"
"I know," I sighed, sitting on the bed. "I was really looking forward to that egg hunt."
Kirsten came and sat down next to me.
"Don't worry," she said. "I have an idea!"
"What is it?" "Well, why don't we have an egg hunt inside? I did that once before."
"That's a good idea! I want to go wake up Molly and Kit!"
But just as I jumped off the, bed, Kirsten grabbed my arm.
"Not yet," she laughed. "It is too early... And besides, we're only having the egg hunt after church."
"But that's ages!"
"Well, you are the one who got us so early!" Kirsten smiled. "Come on; let's choose our dresses!"
I'm really glad we're going to have an egg hunt anyway, and it sounds really cool to have it inside! I've never done it before, but Nikki has. I hope you have a really good day, and Happy Easter from all of us!:)
